"Landscapes Toward Living Together"

Series 3 Lecture: Senses of Landscape

2025.09.14 (Sun) 14:00-16:00

This lecture takes the conceptual background of “The Meaning of Landscape” as its point of departure, focusing on the phenomenological and ontological dimensions of John Sallis’s interpretation of artworks. In dialogue with pieces from the museum’s permanent exhibition, it will explore how Sallis’s phenomenological method of description can be applied to deepen our understanding of the meaning of landscape in everyday experience.
