”Fluxus, By Chance“ Opening Forum: Fluxus and China
2025.09.25 (Thu) 13:00-15:00
As the first major exhibition in China to comprehensively and systematically explore Fluxus, this show invites audiences to gain an in-depth understanding of how this transnational art movement blurred the boundaries between art and life, continuing to shape global art history since the 20th century.
On the day of the forum, curator Frédéric Paul will kick off by sharing the exhibition’s curatorial concept and key highlights. We are also pleased to welcome renowned art historian Gao Minglu and Yang Zhenyu, professor at the China Academy of Art, as discussion guests, with young scholar He Jing moderating. Together, they will explore the profound impact of Fluxus’s avant-garde practices on 20th-century art history and their influence on contemporary Chinese art.
